REACH: The History of Soccer was a collaborative exhibition concept developed in tandem with Georgia State University’s Creative Media Industries Institute in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup coming to Atlanta. The larger exhibit explored soccer through multiple perspectives, with my section focusing on the history of women in the sport. I designed an immersive timeline around the 1921 ban on women’s soccer, tracing the story through three stages - before, during, and after the ban - to show both the barriers women faced and the resilience that allowed the sport to grow. The installation combined environmental graphics, historical imagery, data visualization, and interactive elements, including Dressed to Play?, an experience that allows visitors to explore how early women’s uniforms affected mobility and performance.
